Fare Types

A new simpler system of fares was introduced last year, resulting in only three categories of tickets now being available: Advance, OFF-Peak, Anytime

There are currently over 4800 fares in the Splityourticket database and in time all will be updated to the new fares structure.

DEFINITIONS:

Advance - Reservations are required for the journey and you must travel on the train shown on your ticket or reservation confirmation.

Off-Peak - These tickets may have restrictions on the times that you can travel. These depend on the specific journey that you are making, but generally apply during the early morning (before 09.30, Monday to Friday), early evening for travel from major cities including London (15.30 to 19.15) or on certain days of the week. If you check your journey requirements using any of the available websites such as the trainline, they will identify those tickets that are available at the specific times that you wish to travel.

Anytime - These tickets have no time restrictions on when you can travel.
